Les Mills fitness classes

We are the only Les Mills Licensee in Palmerston North that offers a wide range of their programmes.

Bodyattack

A high-energy, sports-inspired workout with moves that combine athletic movements like running, lunging and jumping with strength exercises such as push-ups and squats.

Bodybalance

Simple but challenging exercises over 45 minutes using Yoga and Pilates sequences to strengthen and tone your key muscle groups. Poses and stretches are used to create suppleness and flexibility. The class finishes with 10 minutes of relaxation and meditation to fully relax.

Bodypump

The original barbell workout for absolutely everyone. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition (reps). It gives you a total body workout that burns calories, strengthens and tones.

Bodystep

Bodystep is basic stepping, just like walking up and down stairs. This full-body cardio workout will tone your butt and thighs. Athletic and Classic classes are available.

Core

Core provides the vital ingredient for a stronger body while chiselling your waist line. A stronger core makes you better at all things you do – it's the glue that holds everything together.

Grit Athletic

This workout uses step, bodyweight and sport conditioning exercises to improve overall athletic performance.

Grit Strength

A 30 minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout, designed to improve strength and build lean muscle. This workout uses a barbell, weight plates and body weight exercises to blast all major muscle groups.

Grit Cardio

A 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout that improves cardiovascular fitness, increases speed and maximises calorie burn.

RPM

An indoor cycling class, set to the rhythm of motivating music. It blasts calories and builds aerobic fitness fast.

Yoga

Yoga is a great way to gently introduce physical activity to your life. Our yoga classes are flowing sequences of poses and rhythmic breathing to music.

We recommend you wear comfortable clothing you can easily move in. You may also like to bring some extra layers so you stay warm for the relaxation phase at the end of the session.

Book your place in a group fitness class by calling +64 6 350 5080. Classes can be booked within 24 hours of their scheduled start time.

Yoga class capacity is restricted to 12 people.

Pricing

Members

Full and group fitness-only plans allow entry to all classes.

Non-members

Single entry:

  • $10 for Massey Student (With ID)
  • $12 for staff and community

Children in group fitness classes

A group fitness class is generally not a suitable environment for children but we are happy to have them if they are supervised well. Please make sure children are:

  • placed in a safe position (away from potential harm from dropped weights and so on)
  • wearing ear protection
  • removed if other class attendees are being disturbed.
