This professional development course is for industry practitioners, rural professionals, regulatory and governance personnel and scientists engaged in providing advice relating to the design, management and auditing of farm dairy effluent (FDE) systems.

What you'll get
Successful participants will receive a Massey University Certificate of Completion in Farm Dairy Effluent: System Design and Management. They will also have this achievement and five credits added to their academic record at Massey.
Entry requirements
Participants should have significant practical or professional experience in dealing with land application systems for farm dairy effluent. You may need to confirm with us that your experience is appropriate.
Course content and structure
Participants must complete two assignments, attend a two-day online contact course and sit a written examination.
We require that each person download the Dairy Effluent Storage Calculator. The download instructions detail a laptop's hardware and software requirements to run the calculator.

Participants will start the online course approximately five weeks before the two-day online contact course. Participants may need to spend a significant amount of time in pre-course study to refresh their knowledge of the study guide material.
To be eligible to receive a Certificate of Completion in Farm Dairy Effluent: System Design and Management, participants must:
- attend all sessions of the two-day online contact course
- be awarded a satisfactory grade for the course – including the two assignments and the exam.
