MOA provides public access to selected data on ongoing microlensing and astronomical transient phenomena. MOA makes every reasonable effort to provide these data in a timely manner. However, the data are provided as is and without prejudice.
We expect users of these data to observe the same good faith principles that MOA observe in providing them. When accessing these data you are agreeing to the following.
No user shall publish or disseminate these data in any form (including but not limited to journal articles and conference presentations) without prior permission from the MOA collaboration.
MOA members are aware of all ongoing events that are of potential scientific interest, including microlensing events that have peaked, or may peak at high magnification, possible planetary microlensing events, other anomalous events, and events with unusual properties. Users of these data are welcome to draw attention to such events to their own and other research groups. However, no user shall claim priority in identifying any phenomenon that appears within the MOA data without permission of the MOA collaboration.
These principles apply regardless of the mode of access of these data over the Internet including but not limited to http, rsync, and email.
These conditions refer to all MOA data including photometry, and event metadata such as sky coordinates etc.
