Pathways Scholarship
These scholarships are available on a competitive basis. Students must have a GPA of 7 (A-) or above. Full and part-time students are eligible to apply.
Doctoral Research Grant
Each year this grant is given to doctoral students who are making satisfactory progress in their research. This grant provides $1500 per year up to a maximum of $4500 following a successful confirmation.
To access the grant, students submit a budget, signed off by their supervisor, between 1 and 31 May. Submissions go to Sue Richards, with payments made in June. The grant is intended to be used for costs that will support the doctoral student to engage in successful research. This use may include direct research costs, travel for research, childcare or other expenses incurred by the doctoral student.
Master's Thesis Fund
This fund is by application and is intended to help with costs related to carrying out the research. The fund's purpose is to help remove the barriers of research-related expenses that may inhibit students from completing successful research. The fund is available to students completing 90 or 120-credit thesis.
The fund provides up to $500 as a one-time payment.
Applications are due between 1 and 31 August. Email submissions to ioe-postgraduate@massey.ac.nz
A two-person panel will review the applications for completeness and justification of research expenses. Payments are made in September.
