About the Real Estate Analysis Unit
The REAU provides cutting-edge academic consultancy project work for public, private, not-for-profit, and partnership projects.
Our staff are actively researching in a range of property-related topics such as:

Bob Hargreaves
Bob’s research interests include real estate and land economics, rural valuations, valuing for rating and taxation, subdivisions, computer assisted valuations, government role in housing markets, analysis of leasehold government office accommodation. Private sector rental housing market.
Dr Arshad Javed
Arshad’s research interests include Real Estate Development and Management, Property Evaluation, Portfolio Investment, Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), Sustainability and Value Management, Zero Carbon Building, Construction Health and Safety, Building Information Modelling (BIM), and Prefabricated Pre finished Volumetric Construction (PPVC).
David White
David White is Senior Tutor at Massey University and Senior Consultant at Colliers International.
He has 25 years’ experience in the property industry in areas of investment; corporate real estate; and consultancy covering the commercial, industrial, retail and residential property across the public and private sectors.

REAU works with The Property Foundation – a Massey University-controlled entity that has a vision to connect academia, the property industry and society.
