Non-tuition fees , Utu atu anō

When you study at Massey you'll pay non-tuition fees on top of your tuition fees. See what costs apply to you.

Non-tuition fees are administrative fees you pay on top of the tuition fees you pay for each course. You pay these fees for services provided for you and other students, either by the university or students association. The fees can also contribute towards a particular student-focused project for your benefit.

You need to pay your fees for the year once you get your Confirmation of Enrolment from Massey and before you start – or earlier if we note it in your Offer of Place.

Variable fees

Some fees are the same for all students. Others can differ depending on:

  • whether you require special admission
  • whether you're a domestic or international student
  • the number of credits you are enrolled for each semester
  • whether you're studying on-campus or by distance and online study
  • which campus you're studying at
  • whether you're accessing particular services that are not fully funded.

Compulsory fees

Some tuition fees are optional. Others are compulsory and charged to everyone who studies the same qualification as you, such as:

  • application fees
  • student services fees.

  2. at the beginning of each semester the following academic year.

Paying non-tuition fees

Pay your fees for the year when you get your Confirmation of Enrolment from Massey and before you start, or earlier if noted in your Offer of Place.
