Trading Room
The Massey University Trading Room was the first of its kind in New Zealand - fully-functional trading room to aid student learning.
It contains Bloomberg financial terminals, a live stock price ticker and information and news screens and gives Massey's finance students real-life fund management experience.

The financial sector is all about money. How to manage it, and how it moves between people, businesses and governments. Some careers are all about fast decisions. Others take a longer view, weighing up risks and opportunities.
As well as banks and finance companies, a qualification in finance can lead to work with businesses large or small, in stock markets or investment firms, in the Reserve Bank or Treasury, or with families and communities.
Finance careers include:
- actuaries, who forecast financial risk for insurers or investment firms
- bank managers or advisers
- financial analysts
- financial managers, who oversee financial operations for businesses and other organisations
