Structure
Massey University Students Association Federation [MUSAF] previously operated as a federation to 10 independent and autonomous students' association (four mainstream, three tangata whenua, three Pacific) at Massey University's three campuses in Auckland, Palmerston North and Wellington and also Distance students. The restructure of student associations has been completed paving the way for a new single association – Te Tira Ahu Pae.
The 10 former student bodies are represented on the Te Tira Ahu Pae board.
Massey University's governing body, the Massey University Council, has one seat allocated for a student representative, elected by the student population. Most often, this Council member occupies a leading office-bearer role with one of the student bodies.
