Campus revitalisation

Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa Massey University campus reimagining process.

Overview

It’s an exciting time for Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa Massey University as we seek to reimagine the future of our 3 campuses in Manawatū, Auckland and Wellington. We want our campuses to be vibrant and exciting places to study and work, where we connect to our local communities and attract like-minded partners who share our vision for a brighter and better Aotearoa New Zealand.

Massey has an opportunity to redefine what a vibrant university campus can look like in 21st-century Aotearoa New Zealand.

Thank you to everyone who completed the online survey and attended our Campus Reimagining drop-in sessions. These sessions were an opportunity for our communities to reflect and imagine the possibilities of how our 3 campuses could look and feel. They're an important thread in Massey’s successful and sustainable future, ensuring we meet our current and future needs. Your ideas, big and small, are important to us.

Outcomes and updates

Understanding the views of mana whenua, staff, students, and wider stakeholders is an important part of the university’s decision-making process. This engagement process will help us make the right decisions about the land and property the university owns.

We'll analyse your feedback and share the findings with the university’s leadership, staff and students regarding how attendees think we can achieve successful and sustainable Massey campuses. The findings will help to inform a master plan for each campus, which considers the connection between buildings, social settings and the surrounding environments.
